Day 5: Gaeti-Recap, Century Skills, Lesson Planning, Crowdsourcing, Youth Highway Project

Today's class started with a recap of this weeks events.  There was so much information shared by the workshop participants.  It was so enlightening to hear the different ideas that the participants received as a result in participating in the activities for the week.  I gained a lot of knowledge and strategies that I can use in my class. The presentation on Crowd Sourcing opened my mind to the fact of choosing a source such as donorschoose.org and gofundme.com to receive funding to help purchase resources for my class. The presentation on MS youth Highway Safety Project was great. The presenter brought out points that were beneficial when working with youth as far as how they think.  The activities that were presented helped me to understand the affects of drinking and driving and the impacts it has on a person.  I will use these activities in class to introduce the lesson to my students.  I have enjoyed this day.
