Day 10: GAETI- Native American Civil Rights, Grant Library Tour, Arts and Crafts, Dunn Seiler Geology Museum, Cobb Institute of Arachaeology, Googel Earth Virtual Tour, Reading Activity
Today has been an eventful day. The presentation on Native Americans and Civil Rights. The power point was informative and interesting. I was made aware of facts that were related to the Native Americans that I had no knowledge of. I enjoyed the video clips and images that the presenter used in the presentation. The were captivating and were meaningful in helping to bring understanding to the subject matter. I like the fact that the presenter used the videos and pictures to show the characteristics of Native Americans and they were nothing like Hollywood portrays them. The visit to the Ulysses Grant Presidential Library was interesting, it is full of artifacts that relate to the life of Mr. Grant. The Cobb Institute contained important artifacts that were used during B.C. and A.D. time periods. They were from what is considered the old world and the new world. The Dunn Seiler Geology Museum was full of interesting artifacts and the questions associate with it were a great way to provide students with experience. I like the reading activity, it was a great way to help students read content and gain meaning from the article.
