Day 2:GAETI- GIS/Google Earth, Kinsey Collection, Science and Social Studies Timeline, Civil Rights, Seasons Exercise, Geography Themes

Today was a very informative day. I received new information to add to my pre-existing knowledge of the topics presented.  I learned new information about Civil Rights that I was not aware of.  The information that I was introduced to, I will share with my class. The presenter gave links to resources and videos clips that can be used in the classroom as it relates to Civil Rights. I enjoyed the display of the Kinsey Collection, I was not aware of this collection. The artifacts were interesting to view and the video used to introduce the collection explained the origin.  The GIS/Google Earth Basis was also interesting to me.  I have used it before, but not in the capacity that was shown to me today.  The seasons exercise and the Science and Social Studies timeline activity is something that I will use in my class to help students with chronological order and measurement.  The charts and graphs in excel will be use to help students with organizing and collecting data.  This is only the second day but I  have learned so much already that is beneficial in improving my students academic success.
