Day 15: GAETI-Financial Literacy, Prezi 101, Art and Culture, Digital Story Telling

Today started off very informative.  We received information on financial literacy and a lot of useful resources.  The information on FED, free resources were presented to encourage and enrich curriculum and connect to the real world. We analyzed a painting of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.  I learned a lot from the session.  The presenter talked about the 12 federal banks and where they are located.  The id of the banks are identified by a letter and a number.  If you were to look on currency on the left hand side, you will see a number between 1-12 and letters from  A-K.  This lets you know which bank the money is distributed from. The banks do not print money but it is printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. We received a bag of shredded money. This is  There were several vocabulary terms presented throughout the session.  We looked at two video clips that focused on financial concepts. The presenter gave us several ideas that we can use in the classroom to spark student engagement.  I finally completed the gluing process to my art project. I learned how to make a digital movie today using Camtasia. The process takes a little time but it was worth it.  The presenter gave excellent instructions on how to make the movie.  I'm excited about the project that we are going to do with Flat Stanley.
