Today has been an AWESOME DAY!! I can't believe this workshop tenure has ended. I have met some WONDERFUL ONES! The people that I have met at this workshop are amazing, I have learned so much about and from them. I love the fact that everyone worked together to complete tasks assigned. It seems as if though I have known them forever. It seems like we are one big family. I'm really going to miss everyone. I could not pay for the wealth of knowledge that I have received during GAETI.
I would like to give a very special and hearty thanks to Dr. Bracey for developing such a in depth program that focus on 21st Century Skills. I would also like to thank all the other stakeholders that contributed and worked along Dr. Bracey to make this program a success. I'm most appreciative to IHL for funding this workshop. I thankful that they saw the importance of this workshop and it's significance for teachers. I have learned strategies and received resources that will help me enhance and foster students learning at a different level. I can use what I have learned to encourage student engagement and academic success. I will use the information and materials that I received to implement professional development opportunities for teachers for the upcoming school year.
The professors that facilitated the sessions throughout this workshop were well knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. They presented the material in a manner that was easy to understand. Adequate material and resources were given that were aligned with the sessions facilitated and lessons taught.
GAETI is a program that I hope will continue on for many years to come. I will highly recommend this workshop to other professionals looking to move to another level in their educational career. This workshop is a career advancement, it will help to improve your level of competency in teaching. I am so proud to have been a part of such a wonderful experience. I had FUN, FUN, FUN and more FUN!

Day 19: GAETI- SKYPE from Turkey, Lesson Plan, Art Culture
Today we had a SKYPE session from Turkey. The presenter shared so much information with us. I was surprise that his university was modeled after the United States. He told us that the curriculum used in schools is developed by one person and it is to be used by the entire country. He also stated that the public school quality is low because they focus on teaching students how to answer multiple choice questions instead of teaching them to think critically. I was excited to hear about the mall, he said they have 6,000 shops. I also completed my art project today. It is a series circuit. It is demonstrated by a battery, light bulbs and wires. This is a path that electric current flows through.
